Every yurt at River Yurt Village has a private cedar hot tub, an Argentine Gaucho Grill, a palapa-covered wood deck with wicker hanging swings and Adirondack bar stools, and string lights overhead. Inside: central A/C and heat, free WiFi, a kitchenette and a private bath. The Medina River is a short walk down from the property — the yurts have river access, not river views.

Hoot Owl has a 30/50 amp electric hookup right beside the yurt, so family travelling in an RV can park at the door instead of across the property. Seven people sleep inside, with room for a rig alongside.

A king bed, a bunk room, and the gaucho grill
The Hoot Owl sleeps seven with a king bed in the master and a twin-over-full bunk in the second bedroom. Good for a family vacation, a father-son trip, or a weekend with friends.
Inside
The open living space has a queen sleeper sofa and a smart TV — streaming with your own account, no cable. High ceilings and exposed wood throughout.
The master bedroom holds a king bed and a second TV, with the clear dome above letting in daylight and, at night, the stars. All linens and pillows are provided; the bathroom has a walk-in shower, and towels and wash rags are supplied.
The kitchenette
Nearly a full kitchen: Galanz retro refrigerator and freezer, Nostalgia retro microwave, toaster, toaster oven, double-skillet portable cooktop, Keurig with starter pods, sweetener and creamer, plus utensils, cups, wine glasses, plates, pots and pans and a dining table with benches.
Outside
The large palapa-covered porch has wicker hanging swings and Adirondack bar stools. String lights make the patio comfortable after dark. The Argentine gaucho grill sits in the outdoor sitting area — it draws a crowd every time.
Trees over the site include oak, pecan, cypress, mulberry and cedar. Your cedar hot tub is private to this yurt.
The river
Steps lead down to the Medina River swimming hole among the cypress. Wade, kayak, or float the gentle current. The yurts have river access rather than river views.

Getting here
One block off Main Street in Bandera
River Yurt Village sits on 21 acres at 1627 Texas Highway 16 N, Bandera, TX 78003 — one block from Main Street, a quarter mile past the Beverage Barn. Walk to the shops, restaurants and live music of the Cowboy Capital of the World, then walk back to your own hot tub.
Steps lead down through the cypress to the Medina River for swimming, kayaking and fishing. The yurts have river access; the river views belong to the RV sites.
