What's Included
Bring your own caterer, florist, DJ and photographer. The catering kitchen and the covered walkway are there for them.

The Weekend Itself
River Yurt Village sits on 21 acres along the Medina River in Bandera, Texas, one block off Main Street and a quarter mile past the Beverage Barn. The weekend package hands you the whole property: the covered 40' x 60' pavilion that seats up to 150 guests, the enclosed air-conditioned reception hall, the catering kitchen, the covered walkway between them, and two nights across all nine yurts for up to 40 guests.
Friday afternoon your people arrive and check into the yurts instead of scattering to motels in three different towns. Each yurt has a private cedar hot tub in its own gazebo, an Argentine gaucho grill, air conditioning and heat, and all linens, pillows and towels provided. The rehearsal dinner happens indoors in the hall or outside under the stars, and the evening usually ends around the fire pit with somebody in a hot tub still talking at midnight.
Saturday is unhurried because nobody is driving in. The wedding party gets ready on site. The ceremony is in the pavilion, under the roof, so the forecast is not part of the plan. Dinner and dancing follow between the hall and the pavilion, linked by the covered walkway, which means guests move from cool room to string lights and back without ever stepping into the weather. Sunday is a farewell brunch under the oaks, then checkout.
Why It Works
A wedding where the guests sleep on the property is a different event from one where they don't. There is no shuttle to organise, no last drink cut short by a drive, and no gap on Sunday morning where everyone has already gone. The people who travelled for you get two full days with you instead of five hours.
It also takes a line item off your budget conversation: lodging for up to 40 guests is included in the venue price. Four of the nine yurts are family yurts sleeping up to seven, with a master bed, bunk beds and a queen sleeper sofa, which is where the cousins and the kids go. The Love Bird honeymoon yurt sleeps four. The rest are built for couples. Between them the nine yurts hold up to 40 people a night.
Hill Country venues are mostly open-air barns and pavilions. Ours is too — and then there is the hall: newly built, fully enclosed, with real air conditioning. On a June or August weekend that is what keeps guests in their seats through dinner, and in February it is the warm room for the rehearsal dinner.
For Your Vendors
Bring your own caterer, florist, DJ or band and photographer. The catering kitchen sits beside the hall on the same covered walkway, so your caterer works in a real prep space and plates travel under cover to the tables. The gravel drive runs up to the venue area for load-in and load-out, and having Friday on the property means setup does not have to happen in a rush on Saturday morning.
Vendors will ask about parking and unloading, the power at their station, and how much time they have on site either side of the event. Those depend on your date and layout, so call (726) 238-8188 and we will go through access, power and timing with you or directly with them.
On A Tour
How many guests can stay on site? Up to 40 across the nine yurts, for two nights, included in the venue price.
What if it rains on Saturday? The pavilion roof covers its full 40' x 60' footprint and the hall is fully enclosed, so the day goes ahead as planned either way.
Can we bring a dog? Dogs under 35 lb are welcome, leashed when outside. Call (726) 238-8188 with questions about bringing a pet.
What does it cost and which dates are open? Weekend dates go early in spring and fall. Call (726) 238-8188 and we will tell you what is still available and what your weekend would run.
